Fireboy ES 8-Circuit Automatic Engine Shutdown System

When fire breaks out in the engine room of a vessel with diesel engines, the engines must be shut down immediately so the extinguishing agent is not sucked into them and go out through the exhaust. If that happens the fire may not be extinguished or may re-ignite. The FireBoy Automatic Engine Shutdown System responds when a Fireboy System discharges by shutting down the engine(s).

• The FireBoy Automatic Engine Shutdown System is designed for FireBoy Automatic Fire Extinguisher Systems
• Compressed gas suppressants will not stall a diesel engine
• If fire breaks out aboard a diesel-powered vessel, the engine must be shut down immediately
• Continued operation may remove the agent creating the possibility of re-ignition
• FireBoy® engine shutdown systems respond automatically when a FireBoy® system discharges
• Display unit comes with an integrated alarm horn, charged / discharged lights and an override switch for restart or control of auto-shutdown
• Additional units and wire harnesses are available for a second station
