The Black Box NavNet TZtouchXL TZTBBX delivers a fully customizable helm solution supporting magnetron or solid-state doppler radars, high-powered fish finders, AIS, autopilot, and deep water multibeam sonar. Designed to meet the captain's exact needs, it enhances both helm performance and appearance. TZtouchXL includes TZ MAPS with BathyVision, providing advanced electronic charting from a worldwide high-resolution database with crisp navigation, fishing charts, multiple color themes, and fully editable color palettes at any magnification.

An intuitive, smartphone-style interface with edge-swipe controls and single-tap menus delivers fast, simple access to system functions while maintaining powerful operation.

TZ MAPS and Smart Navigation

TZ MAPS allows downloading of wide chart areas, satellite imagery, and bathymetric data directly to the MFD. Custom depth shading and bathymetric overlays create highly detailed charts with multiple color themes. Users can create, edit, and share custom objects, including movable aids to navigation, via TimeZero's moderated service. Purchasing any TZ MAPS area unlocks AI Routing, which plans safe routes using vessel draft, charted depths, hazards, and radar data. Charts are also available in the free TZ iBoat app for home planning and direct transfer, with cloud backup of routes and waypoints through a TimeZero account.

BathyVision and Radar Excellence

BathyVision adds ultra-high-resolution bathymetry with contour intervals as fine as 76 mm (3"), delivering up to three times the resolution of competing charts. Furuno X-Class magnetron and NXT solid-state doppler radars range from compact domes to 200W open arrays and include target analyzer, fast target tracking, bird mode, rain mode, risk visualizer, and AI avoidance route. Risk visualizer dynamically highlights high-probability collision targets for enhanced situational awareness.

Fishing and Sonar Performance

Built-in CHIRP Side-Scan scans port and starboard at 230 kHz or 445 kHz using thru-hull, paired, or transom-mount transducers and is accessible from any networked TZtouchXL MFD. TZT10X, TZT13X, and TZT16X feature built-in 1kW TruEcho CHIRP or CW fish finders, while TZT22X and TZT24X support a wide range of high-powered deep-water fish finders. The DFF3D multibeam sonar provides a 120 deg. swath, detects fish to depths of 300 m (nearly 1,000'), and offers 3D history, triple-beam, cross section, and side-scan modes.

Total Control

The MCU006 vertical and MCU006H horizontal controllers offer full network control of any TZtouchXL MFD, featuring a rotoKey and ten dual-purpose buttons with edge swipe functionality.
