Oceanic Systems Submersible Hydrostatic Sensors are designed with piezoresistive technology. They are accurate and robust Top Mount submersible senders for gas, diesel, fresh and black water tanks from 0 to 4 meters deep.

Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors:

• Monocrystalline silicon pressure sensors have come into wide use in recent years
• Manufactured with semiconductor technology, they also operate on the resistive principle
• Piezoelectric sensors, measure changes in pressure, and force by converting them into electrical charge
• This generated piezoelectricity is proportional to the pressure applied to the solid piezoelectric crystal materials
• Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors contains several thin wafers of silicon embedded between protective surfaces
• When the resistance changes, less current passes through the pressure sensor
