Description
Waterproof, rustproof, dirtproof. Engineered to repel water and remove solid contaminants before they can damage precision engine components. Racor Aquabloc elements are available in different lengths for various flow rates and color coded for 2, 10 and 30 micron. The lower the micron rating, the finer the filtration. Lower micron ratings should be considered when there is no additional downstream filtration.
Features:
- Removes asphaltenes, water, gums, and varnishes from fuel
- Also filters out tiny particles of dirt, tank wall debris, algae, and dead bacteria sludge from biocide-treated fuel
- The micron rating preferred will be a function of fuel quality, operating climates and maintenance schedules
- 2 Micron element (SM) - secondary / final filtration
- 10 Micron element (TM) can be used for primary or secondary / final filtration depending on the engine and/or the application
- 30 Micron element (PM) is recommended when the turbine series will function as water separator and primary filter
- A pop-out filter bypass button in the top cap allows for bypassing a clogged filter element in a dire emergency
- Polymer end-caps will not corrode, ever
