Skip this and by the metal drain plug
Fitting is cheap plastic. Used for around 5 years without issue, then started leaking when we were anchored and created a mess to clean. Impossible to stop the leak once started, needed to shut fuel off and bypass the filter until back to port to repair. Speaking with diesel mechanic friends apparently this isn't that uncommon an issue after a few years use. Strongly recommend buying the metal drain plug despite its higher price as this plastic piece is overpriced as it is and will eventually fail far sooner than the metal one. Search part Racor Shut-Off Valve Drain Kit - RK 19492 instead. It will last the length of boat ownership without fail.
