Note: 1700- Series Raritan water heaters use the Screw-in type heating elements ( Models WH1A-S & WH1B-S ). When you remove the inspection plate to gain visible access to the element you should see a 1-1/2" nut. If you see four 1/2" bolts, you have the older bolt on type element ( Models WH1A & WH1B ) for older R-Series Raritan water heaters. See related items or search for the correct model number
