Designed as a removable magnesium anode integrated with the hot water discharge fitting, it should be checked annually and replaced when worn to maintain clean, reliable hot water performance.

Features:
- A removable magnesium Anode is integral with the hot water discharge fitting
- The Anode should be checked at least once a year by removing it from the water heater
- If the Anode diameter is less than 3/8" (9.5mm), it should be replaced.
- If discoloration, unusual smell or taste develop in the water, inspect or replace the anode. The Anode is replaceable as a unit
- Use with the 12 and 20 gallon Raritan 1700 Series water heaters
- Including models 717201, 172001, 171211, and 172011
