Ronstan Series 40 Soft Attachment Snatch Block

The Ronstan 42 mm (1 21/32") Snatch Block is designed to achieve the highest ratings for dynamic load vs sheave diameter in the keelboat block range. It is designed for low friction and built to perform and built to last.

Features:

• The design maintains low friction performance under heavy dynamic and static loads
• These blocks can handle high side loads that can be generated when line entry and exit alignment is not ideal
• Once the shackle open a gentle rotation of the cheek plates opens the head of the block so it can be fitted to a standing line
• Closes with a simple rotation back into the closed position until a spring loaded ball lock secure the cheeks in place
• Soft shackle attachment features:
  • Provides a simple means of attachment
  • Secures with the titanium dog bone
  • Easily opens when necessary to detach the block
  • Soft shackle retained by elastomer guides
  • Design allow for easy removal of the block

Specifications:

• Optional Dyneema SK99 cord shackle and titanium dog bone
• Block cheeks and sheaves are precision machined from high strength aluminum alloy
• Anodized for durability and corrosion resistance
• Sheaves run on duplex stainless steel hubs
• SA Blocks incorporate a full contact, self-lubricating composite journal bearings
• Thrust washers in the same composite material are positioned between the sheave and the cheek plates
