how many amps does the 16,000 btu unit pull?
Does this unit require a seawater pump and strainer or does it use air only ?
Yes, this is a water-cooled A/C unit and it will automatically turn on the seawater pump whenever the system is running. If you're replacing an older unit of similar BTU capacity, you can often reuse the existing seawater pump and strainer. Just be sure to verify that the water flow meets the minimum requirements listed in the installation manual. The easiest way to check is with a flow meter or by timing how long it takes to fill a 5-gallon bucket from the discharge outlet.
