Description

Simrad RS40 replaces the current RS35 mid level VHF and is updated to comply with EN 301 025 (v2.2.1) standards. The new front-mount design allows easy installation and the low-profile design matches the style of Simrad MFDs. The RS40 provides seamless integration with a wider Simrad system through NMEA 2000 and 0183. Additional features include built-in AIS receiver, a large screen with intuitive user interface, and the ability to add wireless handsets with inductive charging (sold separately).

  • HS40 handset designed as an intuitive portable companion to RS40
  • May be mounted overhead, with no hanging cables, while mic is connected to extension socket on dash
  • Easily removable top and bottom bezels reveal mounting holes allowing the same style of mounting from the front that is featured on Simrad MFDs
  • Track Buddy feature automatically requests position of another VHF radio
  • Press NAV button to turn it into a navigational instrument displaying speed, course
  • Contains a Man Overboard (MOB) function; simply hold down NAV/MOB button to drop waypoint and RS40 enters MOB mode to direct you back to position of MOB event
