When not in use, the snaps fold neatly out of the way.

- HSH hooks mount on rear edge of swim platform
- HDHS snap davit heads mount on dinghy gunwale
- Together, davit head and hook mounts meet to provide a secure connection for stepping in and out of dinghy attached to swim platform
- Snaps fold out of the way inside dinghy when not in use
