Description
The Weems & Plath Professional Mariner's Navigation Kit comes with all the tools needed for navigation, excluding a sextant.
Features:
- (1) 325 Navitote
- Roll it, fold it or hang it, the NaviTote will keep your Weems and Plath navigation tools in good order
- It works beautifully as a navigation tool caddie at the chart table
- Made with Tough Duck, which is a PVC backed, polyester duck fabric
- For added strength and durability this navigation tool bag incorporates gusseted reinforced pockets and strong hanging grommets
- The Navitote is designed with input from the United States military and built to meet demands of everyday use on patrol vessels
- (1) 90 Paralock Plotter
- Weems and Plath has developed the Paralock Plotter, a parallel rule in a compact size that is particularly suited for use on modern small chart tables
- The primary purpose of the Paralock Plotter is to enable the transfer of GPS positions rapidly, easily and accurately to and from any paper chart
- The Paralock Plotter features three unique design concepts:
- (1) Locking Knob that allows the user to quickly plot a GPS position on paper charts
- The most inventive feature of this patented device is the locking knob located at one of the four pivot points of the rule"s crossarms
- This knob enables the two rulers to be fixed in any given separation which allows rapid determination of GPS position
- (2) Sets of Finger Holes that enable finger tips to act as friction pads on the underlying chart
- Placing finger tips in the twin finger holes allows easy operation of the rule and readily informs the operator if a slip has accidentally occurred while aboard a rolling or pitching vessel
- (1) Locking Knob that allows the user to quickly plot a GPS position on paper charts
- The Paralock Plotter is shorter than standard size rules, but opens to the same width as conventional rules and therefore covers the same chart area
- The Paralock Plotter is only 7.25" long as opposed to the standard rule length of 15", but its opening width is the same as standard rules
- The Paralock Plotter is made of sturdy, clear acrylic for maximum chart visibility
- It has graduations so it can be used as a protractor to determine compass bearing It also has a ruler across the bottom, making it is easy to take distances and transfer them to a mileage scale
- The Paralock Plotter has all the features of a standard parallel rule but fits in a pocket and is easier to use
- It is perfect for any boater who keeps track of latitude and longitude coordinates on a paper chart
- Its compact, convenient size makes it the right tool for use on boats with limited chart space
- (1) 501V Vectormaster
- Given the position of a storm and direction and speed of its advance, with the aid of your Vectormaster you may quickly determine a course which will put maximum distance between your vessel and an oncoming storm
- This circular slide rule provides for the solution of time, speed and distance, fuel consumption, conversions, multiplication, and division
- The face of the Vectormaster permits the rapid solution of problems involving vectors, such as those encountered in current sailing, determination of true wind direction and force, and apparent wind to be expected on other headings
- Sturdy PVC construction
- Instruction booklet included
- (1) 120 7 Inch Weems Parallel Plotter
- The Weems Parallel Plotter is our most popular Weems plotter
- This Weems plotter is mounted on a roller that allows you to plot courses and parallel lines with simple direct transfer without the space required of traditional parallel rules or triangles
- The two rollers keep the Weems plotter parallel as you slide it across the chart
- The Weems plotter contains distance scales at 1:20,000, 1:40,000 and 1:80,000 to fit NOS Coast and Harbor Charts, as well as an inch scale
- The Weems plotter also includes semi-circular protractor for measuring courses and bearings against meridian on chart, and two quarter circle protractors for measuring courses and bearings against parallel of latitude
- Instructions for the Weems plotter are included
- The Weems plotter is durably constructed with a Lifetime Warranty
- (1) 9998 Chart Correction Template
- Chart Correction Template contains the Region A & B IALA Maritime Buoyage symbols required for updating and correcting nautical charts
- Keeping charts updated with the Chart Correction Template helps ensure the safety of your crew and vessel
- Designed for use with a fine line pen, corrections to nautical charts can be made neatly and quickly with this simple-to-use stencil
- These corrections then become a permanent part of the Chart Corrections and should be made in ink so they will not be accidentally erased when you are using the chart
- Please reference US Nautical Chart No 1 or UK Admiralty Chart 5011 for assistance with symbol identification
- This Chart Correction Template an exact replica of the discontinued Chart Correction Template formerly prepared and published by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA)
- TIP: Always check the Local Notice to Mariners and the Broadcast Notice to Mariners file to ensure the chart is fully corrected Keep a log on the chart or a chart correction card of all the corrections that have been made. This will make it easier to verify the chart"s correction status prior to its next use
- (1) 1141 Mechanical Pencil Set
- The Navigator"s Pencil Set includes:
- (1) Nautical Pencil: Great for charting out courses because the super fine eraser won't mar charts when making corrections and the precise lead of the nautical pencil will give a clear course line
- (1) 12-Pack of Leads: 07 mm lead (HB or No 2 hardness) is a special blend of polymers that provides extra blackness and smoothness when writing or drawing
- (2) Spare Erasers: The eraser on the nautical pencil adjusts out as it wears down, similar to the way the lead adjusts on writing tip
- The Navigator"s Pencil Set includes:
- (1) 176 Ultra light Divide
- Every proper navigation kit should include a pair of navigation dividers to measure distance on a chart
- The Ultralight Dividers are the perfect tools to fill out your kit
- The navigation dividers are fully adjustable and easy to use
- Constructed of coated marine alloy to resist corrosion
- Gear synchronized arms allow one-hand use and provide excellent point alignment while center wheel/extension bar construction allows for fast action precision adjustments
- Stainless steel points
- Points can be replaced with lead (included) so that it becomes a navigator's compass
- Made in Germany
- Lifetime warranty
