• West System 406 Colloidal Silica is a thickening additive used to control the viscosity of epoxy or polyester, often in combination with other fillers to control the working characteristics of an epoxy mixture
• Applications: Suitable for West Systems and all epoxy and polyester resins
• Function: Controls the Viscosity of Epoxy or Polyester
• This is a very strong filler that creates a smooth mixture, ideal for general epoxy bonding and filleting
• It is also West System's most versatile epoxy filler
• Thickens bonding adhesive when fileting
• Improves abrasion resistance
• Often used in combination with other fillers, 406 can be used to improve strength, abrasion resistance, and consistency of epoxy fairing compounds, resulting in a tougher, smoother surface
• It can be used to prevent resin runoff on vertical and overhead surfaces
• Improve consistency of fairing compounds
